NRG Health & Safety Protocol
NRG danceProject is committed to the wellbeing of your dancers. We plan on working closely with our venue partners to keep our dancers, families, and staff safe. We are very excited to get back to dancing with you & are implementing procedures and guidelines to be able to offer the safest environment to our attendees. We will continue to closely monitor government policy changes and public health data and will make any updates & changes, as needed. It is important to us everyone is as comfortable as possible while attending. We promote social distancing, although do acknowledge that it will be difficult for dancers to maintain this at all times. We will need your help to make sure we all do our best to encourage frequent hand cleaning and we will do our part to amplify sanitizing of frequently used areas.
*We encourage each studio owner & dancer have a “Covid Kit” that includes hand sanitizer, wipes, mask and own water bottle.
Flu-Like / Covid Symptoms : Any attendee that has flu-like/Covid symptoms, we ask that you please not attend the event. *As always, we offer a variety of options including a full refund to anyone unable to attend due to the pandemic.
Hand Washing : All attendees should wash their hands multiple times throughout the day. The CDC recommends this as one of the best practices to avoid transmission of the virus.
Face Coverings : At this time in accordance with AZ and CDC guidelines, face coverings/masks are recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated. Face coverings are suggested for all attendees & Observers who are not vaccinated while both inside and outside of the dance room and in all public spaces.
*Our entire Faculty is fully Vaccinated, however, they may wear masks according to personal preference. Production team, NRG Staff & NRG Apprentices who are not vaccinated will be wearing masks at all times.
Venue Cleanliness : Venue has assured us they will have increased cleaning of all surfaces, handrails, elevators, etc. They make a list of all procedures available to all attendees upon request.
Ballroom Doors : All interior doors will be open to reduce touchpoints. Please do not congregate in the openings before & after the event.
Water Stations : . We will have water stations but ask that attendees please bring personal water bottles to class & keep dance bags small & distanced from one another.
Limiting Dancer Capacity : We have worked with our venue partners to ensure that we meet acceptable capacity in each ballroom and are well within local government regulations. This will help to give dancers plenty of space to continue practicing good social distancing habits.
Class Observers : NRG will allow limited observers/parents in the Ballrooms for Classes. Teachers with a VIP Pass will also be allowed. We plan to password livestream the ballrooms, so you may check in and keep track of your dancer.
Dressing Rooms : Dressing room spaces will be expanded to help with social distancing. We ask you check with your studio once the number of parents allowed for assisting with costume changes is determined for each venue/studio. *This may vary & will depend on allowed room capacity and current social distancing requirements.
Competition Audience : We will have traditional Theatre style seating. Capacities will be strictly enforced. Once seats are filled & we reach capacity, NO ADDITIONAL AUDIENCE MEMBERS WILL BE ALLOWED IN…NO EXCEPTIONS. *Audience members who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a mask.
Live Webcast of Competition : To keep crowds at a minimum, we encourage families & friends to download our App & watch our FREE livestreams of competitions.
Awards Sessions : We will be livestreaming “NRG Virtual Awards” for all placements (Platinum, High Gold, etc…) at the end day of the competition day, Via the MAIN ROOM livestream throughout the event.
Scoring : No scoring deductions will be given for costumes including masks, gloves, or protective equipment during performances.
Stages : Stage floors will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day during classes & for competition.
Props :Props will not be allowed to be stored backstage.
As always, please feel free to reach out to Melissa & Laila with any questions or concerns you have. We can’t wait to see you all soon!
